As we know that a dustbin is a temporary garbage disposal. Together with the arising of much problem which is filed by our society, especially the household. A dustbin which is own by them has not completed yet, especially which is place in the room. The first, from the healthy side, the garbage that is collected will be caused a disease. The second, from its reservoir, only has a capacity. So that wet and dry garbage are mix. The third, the garbage taking mechanism is from above. The forth, the consumers provide the plastic by them salves, the from the disposal side. The fifth, from the design side, it has many similarities.
Based on the problems, the purpose of this research is finding out a new design for a dustbin product which is suitable with the consumers willing and necessity.
There are two steps in collecting the data, first : spreading the questioner and interviewing some people in some houses, and also collecting the anthropometry data from adult ( students of university ). Beside, in designing the product is used analysis function, brainstorming, alternative evaluation and morphology mapping. Based on the caprices result and data analysis from the customers willing about the dustbin design. It is co eluded that the shape is rectangular has two disposal holes beside, the hole shape is half. Civil, the inside reservoir uses a box and handle, the garbage referee, is in the middle, between wet and dry garbage, he garbage exit mechanism is from the found lid. The outside cover material is board, and inside is zinc, handle position is in front above, the handle’s mode is U reverse, the ashtray is in the above of the dustbin and directly comes to the dry garbage, the ashtray material is aluminium, to move it uses 4 where is, neutral colour, and the size is ( L = 45, W = 20, H = 65 ) in cm. where as the result of anthropometry data the hand width is 8,94 cm.
