Royal Orchids Garden Hotel is a 4 star hotel located in Batu-Malang. It has a strategic place and is a well-known hotel in East Java with guests coming from domestic as well as overseas origins. This hotel also has condominiums, the only one in East Java, which provides a lot of facilities and accommodation. It is also promises the guests warm and friendly service and the finest atmosphere.
The writer observed some problems related with the hotel is operation. The waiters and waitresses did not give their maximum performance as they should. Besides, this hotel also has a problem with its operative facilities which in a way limited its efficiency in providing fast service to its guests.
The writer suggests that Royal Orchids Garden Hotel do something to raise the work enthusiasm of its employees, especially waiters and waitresses, as well as rearranging operative facilities so that a faster service can be delivered to the guests.
On the Job Training is very important program for the students especially for the writer. She can improve her English skill because in this hotel she met foreign guests, so that she should speak English if she were to communicate with them. Besides, she can get advantageous knowledge and working experience to prepare her to be ready to compete in real work.
