One main aspect that must be noted in education means, especially University, whether Public or Private University, is comfort aspect, in leacturing implementation, beside other aspects that do not lose in tis importance such as teaching system and so on. One endeavor to achieve that matter is means used must be designed in technical way and appropriated to human capacity and limitation. This matter is an objective of designing ergonomy by noting rules existed in ergonomy.
Data collection requested in redesigning leturing chair existed before in Industry Engineering Department of Merdeka Universty of Malang is done with two methods, are these by doing questionnaire dissemination to respondent (student) as these chair user and by doing data collection of adult human (sudent) antropometry related to data requested to redesign these lecturing chair.
Based on data processing result and analysis done in this Thesis, data formulation result bout consumer wishes obtained from questionnaire dissemination result is as follow:
1. Lecturing chair writing base is lack extensive;
2. There must be bag storage in ecturing chair;
3. Lecturing chair leg support must be broader and can be moved;
4. Lecturing chair sit base must be soft;
5. Lecturing chair back support must be soft and in accordance with healthy sitting attitude.
Whereas measuring result of antropometry data for a number of sample (student) produces lecturing chair design with size as follow:
1. Sitting base height : 44.54 cm
2. Sitting base length : 44.04 cm
3. Sitting base width : 41 cm
4. Backing support height : 38.80 cm
5. Backing support width : 55.43 cm
6. Arm support height : 23.70 cm
7. Arm support length : 55 cm
8. Arm support width : 9.3 cm
