Faktor-faktor komunikasi yang mendorong minat biarawan menonton kuis "Who Wants to be A millionaire" di RCTI : survey terhadap para biarawan di seminari tinggi societas verbi Divini Surya Wacana Malang (CD)
This thesis is written based on the phenomenon that the monk’s life are often considered being strange and bored for some people. This thought, maybe, is based on the fact that the monk’s life is not the same as the usual people’s life. The monk’s live by forming their own community that restricted to such regulation. Essentially, the monks are agreed to live purely, poorly, and even obedience in their lifelong. Often, the monks are also considered as they have not known and have not using televisions as their mass communication media. From the observation pre research, the writer found that the monks are also using televisions as their mass communications media, and have a highest inclination to watch a quiz program “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” in the TV station, RCTI.
Base on the above background, this research is made with one purpose, that is in order to know what kind of communication factors that will urge the monk’s interest watching the quiz program “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” of TV station, RCTI. The research approximination has been used in order to bare the problem is quantitative approximate by such exploration. The method is using survey method. In this research, the sources of data, is based on the primary and secondary data. Technically, the data is collected by spreading questionnaire and interview. The data is analyzed by using statistic factor analyzing that supported by Computer Program SPSS for Windows Version 11.0
The result of the research and its statistically test, the writer found that the communication factors have urging the monk’s interest watching the quiz “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” of TV station, RCTI. At a strech, according to the highest variant value that their interest is influenced by communicator factors, the quiz well kept factors, the effect factor and media factor.
The presentation of the research result, hoping the monks will keep still their interest in watching the quiz “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” of TV station, RCTI. As this quiz program has given a positive input to the development of the monk’s life. Futhermore, hoping the conceptor and the executor will keep still the running of the quiz whatever, as the quiz has already amused all circles, including the monk’s community
