The Hedonism Lifestyle Influence on Indonesian Generation Z'S Consumptive Behavior (CD + Cetak)
The era of globalization makes technology more advanced to help human activities. People who are facilitated by this technology also have a negative impact, namely consumptive behavior. Consumptive behavior is the tendency of people to buy or consume goods or use services that are not needed and are not based on rational considerations. These actions are based on pleasure or desire. There is a common goal between consumptive behavior and a hedonic lifestyle, namely activities based on pleasure and not based on needs. This consumptive behavior and hedonic lifestyle are inherent in Generation Z, precisely in the transition era from adolescence to adulthood. Generation Z is known as the internet generation because this generation was born facilitated by the development of the internet. Therefore, this generation has the character of what they want to achieve, so they adopt a hedonic lifestyle because of their consumptive behavior. This hedonic lifestyle and consumptive behavior are very much adopted by today's society, and this is very detrimental to humans because these behaviors override their basic needs. This study aimed to inform people about the influence between hedonism lifestyle and consumptive behavior on Indonesian Generation Z. The results of this final report note that there is an influence between consumptive behavior and a hedonic lifestyle, people who have a hedonic lifestyle must behave consumptively. The method used in this final report is library research. The conclusion is it is known that this Generation Z adheres to a hedonistic lifestyle where he has consumptive behavior.
